Qatar National Theater has
hosted a folkloric Syrian
fashion show dubbed/ From
Syria to
Qatar /.
The show included samples
of the Syrian folkloric
costumes in Damascus, Aleppo
and the Euphrates valley.
It came in the framework
of the Syrian Cultural Week
which is organized by the
Ministry of Culture in
celebration of Doha as the
capital of the Arab Culture
for 2010.
The show was supervised
by
Syrian
fashion designer Suha
Shwaihana who was keen on
presenting the distinguished
and diverse Syrian folklore
through her artistic touch
and neat lines and drawings
which reflect the
environment and its
wonderful features.
At the request of
audience, Syrian Salateen
Shuyoukh al-Tarab Band
"Kings of Original Songs"
presented for the second
time during the Syrian
Cultural Week many poems and
musical masterpieces by the
most famous Syrian and Arab
musicians.
