Syria, Turkey sign trade treaties

Syria and Turkey signed on Wednesday 50 agreements and memos of understanding and a work program for joint cooperation at the end of the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between the two countries.

Agreements signed include cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, trade, security, agriculture, irrigation, weather forecasting, finance, health, industry, media, transport, culture, oil, electricity, higher education, environment, education, local administration, communication and planning.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mouallem said the meeting saw 47 trade agreements signed and Turkish diplomatic sources added a total of 60 deals were struck.
