Syrian Civil Campaign for Celebrating Jerusalem as the Capital of
Arab Culture Starts.
Syrian Civil Campaign for Celebrating Jerusalem as the
Capital of Arab Culture for 2009 started its activities on Saturday
under the title /From the Capital of Desert Palmyra to Jerusalem the
Capital of peace cities/.
A 300-meter long panoramic painting, drawn by Palmyra children and
youths, including wonderful paintings by professional Syrian and
Palestinian artists, was displayed at the street of archeological
arches.
The Campaign includes a marathon and plastic art exhibition at the
Arab Cultural Center displaying more than 70 paintings about
Jerusalem and the resistance.
The Campaign would also include other artistic activities and
theatrical shows.
