Belarus, Syria discuss cooperation in machine building

Belarus and Syria discussed the bilateral cooperation in machine-building and petrochemical industry at the fifth session of the Belarusian-Syrian joint commission for trade, economic and technical cooperation in Damask (the Syrian Arab Republic), BelTA learnt from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

Apart from that, the sides touched upon cooperation in agriculture, education, construction, sport and tourism, standardization and conformity assessment, the development of the legal treaty basis and the collaboration between chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Syria.

The session of the Belarusian-Syrian joint commission for trade, economic and technical cooperation was chaired by Belarusian Economy Minister Nikolai Zaichenko and Minister of Economy and Trade of Syria Amer Hosni Lutfi.
