Damascus International Sculpture Forum 2009 kicks off

Damascus International Sculpture Forum 2009 will kick off on Thursday at the old Damascus Fairgrounds with the participation of 21 Syrian and international sculptors representing 12 countries from Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Artist Mustafa Ali said in a press conference that the forum aims to create a cultural dialogue between Syria and the world through sculpture which represents various cultures and civilizations from the participating countries.

The forum will last for one month, and sculptures of the forum will decorate the squares and streets of Damascus.
