Syrian Pavilion Witnesses Remarkable Turnout at World Travel Market in London

London, (SANA) ? The Syrian pavilion at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London witnessed remarkable turnout of visitors who lauded the richness of the Syrian tourist product.

Director of the Department of Tourist Promotion and Marketing at the Syrian Ministry of Tourism Bassam Barsik noted that the second day of the fair included meetings between Syrian tourism companies and British and foreign counterparts.

The WTM, which kicked off on Monday, coincides with the International Tourism Conference which saw the participation of several tourist research centers and universities.

The Syrian pavilion has an area of 140 square meters with 12 promotional boards and several large promotional photographs featuring the most important historical and religious sites in Syria.

More than 16 Syrian tourism companies are participating in WTM, which was preceded by a four-week promotional campaign organized by the Syrian Ministry of Tourism in the main streets, subway stations and train stations of London beginning from November 2, in addition to promotional campaigns in British media outlets such as the Independent.
